GABRIEL WONG - Hi I'm Gabe, I'm 16, and I'm a senior at Asheville School. I'm a boarder, but outside of Asheville school I live in the Bahamas. I'm the head of the programming team. I joined the robotics team because I really like technology and it was the most technologically oriented thing at Asheville School my freshman year. I'm excited to see how we are going to do in competition. My favorite fruits are grapes!
ALEX HARKNESS - Hi I'm Alex, I'm 16, and I'm a sophomore at Asheville School. I'm a boarder, but I live in Asheville outside of school. I'm the head of the mechanical team. I joined the robotics team because I love the satisfaction of completeing a robot with the team. I'm excited to see how far we can make it in competition. My favorite fruits are pineapples!
LILY FISHMAN - Hi I'm Lily, I'm 16, and I'm a junior at Asheville School. I'm a day student, so I live in Asheville. I'm the head of the communications team. I joined the robotics team because I did robotics in middle school and I found it really intriguing so when I heard that Asheville School had a robotics team I was really excited to join. I'm excited for competition to see all our hard work pay off. My favorite fruits are pomegranates!
ERIC MIN - Hi, I'm Eric. I'm 16 and a Junior at Asheville School. I'm from South Korea so I live in school as a boarder. I mainly work on the team website and do all the soldering, if necessary. I j oined the robotics team because I've loved tech ever since I was little and it allows me to be a part of the school community by doing something I love. I'm excited for everything about robotics! My favorite fruits are blueberries!
JACK KARAGEANNES - Hi I'm Jack, I'm 16, and I'm a junior at Asheville School. I'm a day student, so I live in Asheville. I'm a part of the communications team. I joined the robotics team because I was a part of the robotics team in middle school so when I heard that Asheville School had a team I decided to check it out. I'm excited for competition so I can see how well our robot does as well as seeing the different ways the other teams decided to build their robots. My favorite fruits are kiwis.
KAL WILLIAMS - Hi I'm Kal, I'm 14, and I'm a freshman at Asheville School. I'm a day student, so I live in Asheville. I'm a part of the mechanical team. I joined the robotics team because I had been doing robotics at my middle school so I figured that I would keep going with it. I'm excited to go to a competition so we can compete against other teams! My favorite fruits are oranges!
EMMA HOLSTEIN - Hi I'm Emma, I'm 16 and I'm a junior at Asheville School. I'm a boarder, but outside of Asheville School I live in France. I'm a part of the communications team. I joined robotics because I want to be a mechanical engineer when I'm older, and I wanted to gain some experience. I'm excited to see if we will win in competition. My favorite fruits are mangos!
JOON KANG - Hi I'm Joon, I'm 16, and I'm a sophomore at Asheville School. I'm a boarder, but outside of Asheville school I live in South Korea. I'm a part of the programming team, and I joined the robotics team because of my interest in programming. I'm excited to be a part of the school community and a part of competition. IFE OLOWORARAN - Hi I'm Ife, I'm 15, and I'm a junior at Asheville School. I'm a boarder, but outside of school I live in Nigeria. I'm a part of the mechanical team. I joined the robotics team because I want to be a mechanincal engineer but I didn't have any mechanical experience yet so I felt like robotics would be a good way for me to broaden my mechanical knowledge and prepare me for the future. I'm excited to learn how to build! My favorite fruits are watermelons!
TOMAS BLANCO - Hi I'm Tomas, I'm 16, and I'm a junior. I'm a boarder, but outside of Ashveille School I live in Charlotte. I'm a part of the mechanical team. I joined the robotics team because I wanted to try something new and I'm excited to build the robot! My favorite fruits are bananas!
JOSE SALAZAR - Hi I'm Jose, I'm 16, and I'm a sophomore at Asheville School. I'm a boarder, but outside of Asheville School I live in Saudi Arabia and New Mexico. I'm a part of the mechanical team I joined the robotics team because I was interested in expanding my knowledge when it comes to building things. I also enjoy challenging myself on a daily basis. I'm excited that we will be constructing a robot from scratch and I look forward to the building process. My favorite fruits are mangoes!
JUSTIN MERRIWETHER - Hi I'm Justin, I'm 18, and I'm a senior at Asheville School. I'm a boarder, so outside of Asheville School I live in Saudi Arabia and Houston. I'm apart of the mechanical team. I joined the robotics team because it was something I had been interested in for years but was never able to get into. I'm excited to enhiy a commono hobby with my friends and making new memories. CHARLES LONG - Hi I'm Charles Long, and I'm the director of technology at Asheville School. I joined the robotics team because I have a passion for teaching students technology and when two students approached me, asking for a sponsor for their team, I immediately agreed. I'm excited for new students to get engaged in robotics and see how far we can make it in competition. My favorite fruits are bananas!
BOB WILLIAMS - Hi I'm Bob Williams and I'm the director of communications at Asheville School. I joined the robotics team because I like technology and the team building aspects of robotics and was excited to help out with the Asheville School team. I’m excited to see how the students will work through the weight limit restrictions this year. My favorite fruits are oranges!
JANINE HAUGH - Hi I'm Janine Haugh and I teach math at Asheville School. I joined the robotics team because I've always been interested in technology and I went to a competition last year and it seemed like something that was really fun and something I wanted to be a part of. I'm excited to see what solutions the students come up with to the challenges they are presented with. My favorite fruits are strawberries!
